The International School on Nuclear Physics, Neutron Physics and Applications will be held from September 21 (arrival) to September 27 (departure) 2009. The School is organized by the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and sponsored by the Bulgarian Nuclear Regulatory Agency.
The forthcoming eighteenth edition of the School continues a long series carried out biannually since 1973. The main goal of the School is to stimulate the activity of the nuclear science community in our region. Colleagues from many countries attended the previous schools and enjoyed the impressive talks of distinguished scientists from around the world.

The main topics of the Conference are the following:

• Nuclear excitations at various energies
• Nuclei at high angular moments and temperature
• Structure and reactions far from stability
• Astrophysical aspects of nuclear structure
• Neutron nuclear physics
• Nuclear data
• Advanced methods in nuclear waste treatment
• Nuclear methods for applications
• Symmetries and collective phenomena
• Methods for lifetime measurements

The program will be composed by 40 min. invited talks, help predominantly during the morning sessions. Young scientists are encouraged to give short presentations (20 min. talk) in the afternoon sessions.
The conference fee is 540 EUR. It covers participation fee (150EUR), social program, accommodation in a single room and 6 days full board. The fee for accompanying person in a double room, including full board and social program, amounts to 400EUR.

Proceedings of the School will be published. The full text (10 - 20 pages, no special limits) of the talks will be expected as a Latex-file upon arrival.
If you wish to participate in the XVIII International School on Nuclear Physics, Neutron Physics and Applications please fill in the registration form and send it to Varna2009@inrne.bas.bg before March 30, 2009. Please attach a short abstract of your presentation in a Latex format as well.
